BRISBANE has kept its slim chances of making the NAB AFL Women’s Grand Final alive with an impressive win over Greater Western Sydney on Friday night.

The Giants’ loss – their first since round two – eliminated them from Grand Final calculations.

The Lions moved to second spot behind the Western Bulldogs, who meet Melbourne at Whitten Oval on Saturday night.

Brisbane will have to sweat on the outcome of the Bulldogs-Demons match – with a Melbourne loss their preferred outcome.

The winner of the Bulldogs-Demons clash will progress straight into the premiership decider.

The Lions would then need Adelaide to lose to Collingwood on Sunday afternoon at Olympic Park.

Friday night’s result favoured the Crows, who would catapult into the Grand Final, providing the Bulldogs and Demons do not play in a draw, and they account for the Magpies.

The Grand Final will be played at 1.10pm AEDT on Saturday, March 24, with the AFL likely to confirm the venue on Saturday night.
