AS PART of Melbourne’s 2016 community program, the playing list visited schools in regional Victoria on Monday 20 June.
Groups of players visited schools in the Mornington Peninsula, Shepparton and Heathcote, while others conducted super clinics for local students in Portland, Sale and Traralgon.
The players visiting schools conducted discussions and question and answer sessions with students.
These discussions focused on the topics of leadership, goal setting, the AFL pathway and living a healthy lifestyle.
The super clinics focused on football skills, including marking, tackle bad work, goal kicking, ground balls and agility.
Country visits are an important part of Melbourne’s community work, which also includes visits to schools, junior football clubs and Auskick Centres in the City of Casey and the club’s heartland region.

Shepparton School Visits
Schools Visited: Kialla West Primary, Notre Dame Secondary College, Orrvale Primary, Mooroopna Secondary College, Kialla Central Primary, St Brendan’s Primary, St Luke’s Primary, St Mary’s Primary
Heathcote School Visits
Holy Rosary PS and Heathcote PS
Portland Super Clinics
The players ran a Super Clinic at Hanlon Park for 500 students from various schools in the Portland region

The players ran two Super Clinics in Sale and Traralgon for 400 students from various schools in the region
