Jones accepts MRP sanction

Nathan Jones has accepted an early plea from the MRP

CAPTAIN Nathan Jones has accepted a $2500 sanction for wrestiling Lions big man Daniel Merrett.

It was a third wrestling offence for Jones.

The incident happened in the third quarter of last Sunday's 63-point win over the Brisbane Lions at the MCG.

Jones was initially given a $4000 sanction, but it was reduced to a $2500 sanction with an early guilty plea.
