DEAN Kent has urged the Melbourne faithful to get behind the team for its ‘home’ game against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium on Saturday, as the red and blue aims for its third win in a row.

Kent said it was a great feeling notching up back-to-back victories against Collingwood and Richmond respectively in the past two rounds, and he was determined to keep up his strong recent form.

“It’s always good to beat the Tiges at the ‘G. It was a big game and a lot of supporters came out, so it was definitely good to get two in a row,” he told Melbourne TV.

“I wasn’t around when the Dees last won two in a row [in 2011] but it’s a good little [hurdle] to get over and hopefully we’ll make it three in a row against the Saints this week.

“It’s our home game this week … but come down and support us, because it’s going to be a big game and hopefully we’ll win three in a row and then we play Gold Coast [at Metricon Stadium] the following week.”

Kent, who kicked four goals against North Melbourne in round three and had a career-best 25 disposals against Richmond last round, said he was feeling good after missing much of last season with a hamstring injury.

“I had a pretty big injury and did my hammy last year, but it’s all well and I’m playing some good footy, so hopefully I can just stay on the park,” he said.

“I’m in the team for pressure [acts], so if I keep turning that up, I’ll keep playing well.”
