JACK Trengove says he can’t wait to support his sister Jess Trengove in this year’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.

Trengove, who is sidelined for the rest of the season with a navicular stress fracture in his foot, will head to the United Kingdom in late July, where Jess will run in the marathon for Australia.

“That’s one of the positives out of [the injury] is that I’ll get to watch my sister [Jess] compete in the marathon in Glasgow – that’s mid to late July and I’ll get a few weeks off to do that,” he told Dee TV.

“Then I’ll be back at the start of August and I’ll get prepared for the start of November, when we start pre-season.

“Once I get back from Glasgow, I’ll be able to start upping the ante a bit in what I’m allowed to do.

“I’ll start the progress into running … but I’ll be around the place and the main focus is to help out the boys where I can, but also get myself right and to be ready to go for the start of pre-season.”
