WHILE the male players were preparing to play in Round 1, our female player, Ellie Blackburn, was representing the Melbourne Football Club at the Casey Kids Carnival.

With hundreds of people in attendance, Blackburn spent the majority of the day at the Dees Fun Zone which featured the Wheel of Fortune.

Hundreds of children lined up to have their free spin of the wheel, with many winning places in the Guard of Honour, free tickets and merchandise.

Community Manager Debbie Lee said: “The Casey Kids Carnival had a great atmosphere, especially at the Dees Fun Zone. It was great for the young Melbourne supporters to have the chance to get to know Ellie, who is one of our female players that has returned for the 2014 AFL Melbourne side.”

Attending the Casey Kids Carnival is part of our ongoing commitment to building genuine relationships with the community in the City of Casey.
