ON THURSDAY 18 April, members of the Ron Barassi Bequest Society braved wintry conditions to attend the first Society event of 2013. Members met at Gosch’s Paddock to watch the team training, and received valuable insight from Todd Viney and Neil Craig as to the on ground action.
After training, Society members headed to The Bench café, where Russell Robertson welcomed guests and all enjoyed morning tea with Ron Barassi and Fay Spencer.
Sharon Wangman, the Melbourne Football Club’s Bequest Manager, had the pleasure of inducting several new members into the Society, reinforcing how wonderful it is to be able to thank members in person for their future gift. Guests were also treated to a personalised tour of AAMI Park with the Club’s first female Life Member, Jackie Emmerton.
