MELBOURNEfc’s Brad Miller has accepted a two game sanction for striking Ashley Hansen before the start of the Round Nine match against the West Coast Eagles.
Miller accepted the match review panels charge of a Level Four striking offence against Ashley Hansen.
The match Review Panel assessed the incident as being one of intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point), behind play (one point) and high contact (two points). This resulted in a total of seven activation points, which relates to a Level Four offence, drawing 325 demerit points and a three-match sanction. Miller has a total of two matches suspended within the last three years, thereby increasing his penalty by 10 per cent to 357.50 points. An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to 268.13 points and a two-game sanction.
Brad Miller is expected to return for MELBOURNEfc’s match against Essendon in Round 12.
